The Procurement Assistant Manager will be an integral part of a mission driven global procurement team that negotiates various types of commercial Agreements with suppliers that are critical to the global operations of First Advantage. This is a high-visibility, hands-on, individual contributor role for a mid-career procurement professional who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment that is looking to grow. The ideal candidate will have experience driving cost savings through negotiations with suppliers, possess an understanding of common contractual clauses found in contracts, and have experience redlining/crafting contract language in partnership with the legal team. Ability to operate independently and with urgency, curiosity and integrity are a must. Executive level communication skills (written and verbal) are required. 
 

General Responsibilities: 

Contract and Negotiations: 

  1. Lead negotiations for moderately complex renewals and new purchases with suppliers of Technology, Non-Technology (e.g. staffing, fulfillment, etc.) products/services, including, but not limited to Order Forms, Master Agreements, Statements of Work and Amendments 

  1. Establish and negotiate aim-high and bottom-line commercial positions, price protection, expansion tables, true-up, payment terms, etc. where applicable to ensure the best possible total cost of ownership while minimizing risk and maximizing business flexibility 

  1. Manage the Procure to Pay process ensuring timely creation of purchase orders, invoicing, and payment while adhering to established procurement policies 

Category Management and Internal Stakeholder Engagement: 

  1. Partner with internal stakeholders to help develop and execute strategies that support the financial and growth objectives of the company 

  1. Take ownership and serve as the procurement subject matter expert for assigned body of work 

  1. Provide exceptional customer service through quality and timely completion of all assigned work 

Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain
management, information technology or finance. A master’s degree strongly preferred.

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Experience leading commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers of Technology and Non-Technology products/services, including, but not limited to Order Forms, Master Agreements, Statements of Work and Amendments 

  • Thrive in situations that may be ambiguous; An out-of-the box, creative thinker 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned workload based on changing business requirements 

  • Demonstrate expertise in procurement, including identifying total cost of ownership, and savings opportunities while minimizing risk and maximizing business flexibility 

  • Ability to develop relationships quickly, and tactfully influence cross-functionally  

  • Executive communication skills (written and verbal)
