We are seeking an Investigative Researcher in Mexico. This is an on-site work position, and individual will be required to report into our Mexico City office (Polanco)

What You’ll Do:
The Investigative Researcher gathers and analyzes information to create detailed profiles of subjects, including their identity, addresses, and professional and educational backgrounds. Using a variety of third-party platforms, proprietary records, and social media, the Researcher identifies key insights and determines what information is most relevant for client reports. Findings are documented in Salesforce, and the Researcher supports the investigative process by answering questions and providing expertise as needed. The role involves synthesizing data and collaborating with teams to ensure accurate and complete deliverables

Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct initial identity research to support client reports.
- Create detailed search strings using Boolean logic and query multiple databases, including LexisNexis, Factiva, TLO, and social media sites like LinkedIn.
- Conduct research into areas such as corporate records, liens, judgments, criminal records, and news media, considering the client’s perspective on value and risk mitigation.
- Analyze publicly available records for accuracy and applicability to identify relevant subjects.
- Compose brief written summaries of research findings for an internal audience.
- Accurately enter findings into internal databases, ensuring no duplicate entries.
- Provide internal support throughout the generation and refinement of customer deliverables.
What You May Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferably in fields focused on writing and research, such as journalism, English, or history.
- 3-5 years of experience in investigative research or a related field; candidates with 1-3 years of journalism or due diligence experience, or strong academic research and writing skills, will also be considered.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet research; strong experience with Boolean searches, and familiarity with LexisNexis and TLO is a plus.
- Exceptional research skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work under multiple deadlines with a sense of urgency, maintaining a commitment to accuracy and thorough deliverables.
