Assurance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong manual testing experience who is
passionate about high-quality software delivery and enjoys partnering closely with product and

About Role:
First Advantage is seeking a Software QA Specialist to join our fast-paced and collaborative Quality

development teams. The Software QA Specialist will focus primarily on manual testing, with
opportunities to learn automation over time
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications and backend services.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality and ensure quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects through established bug tracking tools, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Validate bug fixes, conduct re-testing, and support release cycles.
- Provide clear reporting of test results and quality metrics to QA leadership and project
stakeholders. - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing documentation, and best
practices. - Provide input to the development team on testability, usability, and quality improvements.
- Support release readiness activities to ensure all components meet quality standards prior to
deployment.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Software QA Specialist, QA Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
- Ability to test both UI and API components (Postman or similar tools preferred).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum processes.
- Experience using bug and project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.
- Ability to create clear, accurate test cases, test scenarios, and defect documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of test automation concepts or willingness to learn (Selenium, Playwright, TestCafe, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments and software release cycles.
- Experience with mobile application testing.
- Experience executing cross-browser or cross-platform testing.
- Basic understanding of SQL or RDBMS scripting for test data validation
