We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented fresher to join our corporate app support team as B2B Engineer.This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational skills in FTP/SFTP protocols/tools, Python, and SQL.You will be responsible for supporting data transfer processes, writing scripts for automation, and assisting in database queries and reporting.
The roles and responsibilities will include:
Experience:
• Monitor and manage data transfers using FTP/SFTP tools and applications.
• Assist in troubleshooting file transfer issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
• Document processes and maintain technical documentation for scripts and workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Summary of skill sets requirements:
• Understanding of how MFT platforms manage secure file transfers.
• Knowledge in FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS protocols.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot file transfer endpoints.
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell to automate file transfers and monitor jobs.
• Understanding of scheduling tools like cron, Windows Task Scheduler, or Control-M.
• Basic understanding of IP addresses, firewalls, ports, and network protocols.
• Knowledge of encryption standards (PGP, SSL/TLS), authentication methods, and data privacy principles.
• Familiarity with CSV, XML, JSON, and flat files.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
• Ability to validate and parse files for integrity and structure.
• Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues between servers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Work Location: Mumbai / Bangalore (Remote)
The roles and responsibilities will include:
- Documentation and Reporting
- Document file transfer processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Maintain logs and generate reports on file transfer activities and performance metrics
- File Transfer Operations
- Assist in configuring and monitoring MFT workflows for secure file transfers across internal and external systems. Support daily operations of FTP/SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and other file transfer protocols.
- Automation and Scripting
- Write basic scripts (e.g., in Python or Shell) to automate file movement, error handling, and notifications. Help maintain and improve existing automation processes.
- User and Partner Support
- Provide support to internal users and external partners for file transfer setups and issues. Help new partners onboard by configuring endpoints and testing file exchanges.
