The Junior Payroll Executive will assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals with basic payroll knowledge or fresh graduates who are keen to build a career in payroll and HR operations

Responsibilities will include:

 
  • Assist in end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly basis.
  • Support in handling salary inputs such as new joiners, exits, transfers, and salary revisions.
  • Ensure timely preparation and distribution of salary to employees.
  • Assist in statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and TDS deductions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in payroll systems.
  • Address basic payroll queries from employees and escalate complex cases to the Payroll Manager.
  • Assist in generating payroll MIS reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with Finance and HR teams for payroll reconciliations and related activities.
  • Assists in preparing and maintaining salary schedules
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and statutory amendments.
 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
  • Good numerical and analytical ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
 

Education & Experience

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, HR, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in payroll or HR operations (freshers with internship experience can apply).
  • Knowledge of payroll software/HRMS is an added advantage
