This vital role, Cybersecurity Responder, is integrated into our Security Operations team, tasked with safeguarding an international user base by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats. As a part of our dynamic team, you will engage in a variety of activities from incident response to security tuning and proactive threat hunting. This position not only requires technical acumen but also a passion for continuous learning and collaboration with multiple teams.
- Security Detections: Accurately respond to and document security incidents, following detailed procedures to track and resolve issues.
- Use Case Implementation: Design and apply automated use cases for threat detection, enhancing the robustness of our security framework.
- Incident Management: Manage security breaches, participate in containment strategies, conduct forensic analysis, and drive the eradication of threats.
- Proactive Threat Hunting: Utilize existing and emerging threat intelligence to conduct and review threat hunts, managing any identified risks.
- Tuning and Optimization: Take ownership of tuning security tools and processes, ensuring efficient operation and effective threat coverage.
- Location: This position is remote but requires residency in Mexico, preferably in or near Mexico City.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in cybersecurity, with proven skills in incident response and threat management.
- OnCall Requirement: Ability to participate in an onCall rotation approximately once a month on Saturday & Sunday, which may include additional onCalls during longer months.
- Skills: Strong technical understanding of cybersecurity practices, including proactive and reactive measures.
- Abilities: Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications: Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
