People & Culture Partner (HRBP) - Malaysia Based

The People & Culture Partner (HRBP) requires a balance of strategic insight and operational execution to drive HR initiatives that align with business goals and foster a positive workplace culture.   

This role is responsible for:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide HR solutions that drive performance and growth. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Resolve employee relations issues effectively and ensure a fair and consistent approach to conflict resolution. 
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, process improvements, and cultural transformation. Collaborate with leaders to identify change needs and develop strategies to ensure smooth transitions. Communicate change initiatives effectively to all stakeholders and address concern to ensure buy-in and adoption. 
  • Manage necessary HR operational tasks, including but not limited to performance management, on/off boarding etc. Ensure compliance with local labor law and regulations. Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to support decision-making.
  • Any other jobs Mgr. required.

Well suited to a high-energy autonomous individual with a combination of HR expertise, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills, including strategic thinking, communication, data analysis, and change management. 

Required Education, Competencies and Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree Psychology, Human Resources is preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years' HR related working experience, with a focus on employee relations. 
  • Familiarity with Malaysian employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing organizational change and driving culture transformation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking and Hands on execution.
  • Proven experience in areas such as performance management, talent management and employee engagement.
  • Confidence in working with data and HR systems (Workday is a plus).
  • Fast learner, result-oriented, team player; ability to work under pressure.
  • Asian language capability an advantage.
  • Competence in using a range of IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Candidates must be permanently residing in Malaysia and have the ability to work from home.
